This is an early model (later model made by Sakura Seyki was
octogonal).
The original round Petal camera was first manufactured by the St. PETer
OpticAL Company of Japan in 1948.
The camera has been reported to be the world's smallest camera in the
1975 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Lens is a fixed focus
f5.6/12mm, single element lens.
Shutter speeds : B (Bulb) or I (1/50sec.)
Viewfinder : direct-view finder
The Film is a round-shaped sheet film (Diameter = approx. 24mm.)
which takes 6 pictures (6 mm diameter round shape).
Dimensions : W 30 x D 17.5 x H 41mm.
Weight : Camera body : 60 grams
Film magazine : 10 grams.
Back of camera and magazine are engraved "made in occupied
japan". The case is also marked with same text.

This is a Pen Style camera designed by Kaftanski (who also designed the
Minifex), made of plastic and metal (the magazine on the back is made of
metal).
Lens is a fixed focus two-elements f6.3/27mm coated lens.
This model has three f-stops (f6.3 - f8 - f11) and a single speed shutter
(1/50).
Takes 18 10x10mm pictures on 16mm film (special cassettes).
The camera shown here comes with two cassettes : one is of metal and
engraved Stylphot, the other is plastic.
The metal sliding viewer (with red window) advances the film and cocks
the shutter.
When the viewer is closed, shutter is blocked.
Comes with original plastic case.

Focusing lens from 0.5m to infinity.
Eye level finder on top.
This one is black crinckle-finish enamel but it exist in grey, red,
blue, brown or green.
Some models are marked Swiss-Box on front while other (like this one) does have the
markings on lens only.
There is a variant called Liliput ; same camera but with shutter release
on top.
The two models are uncommon. |

This camera was made by SEDIC Ltd (Japan) and sold by J.Gerber Co in
USA. Was also sold by ITT as IC 407 and by American Rand Corp as Photo
Binocular 110.
It has a f 11/80mm fixed-focus lens (the results are telephoto because
of the 80mm lens). It uses 110 cassettes.
Marked Telephoto lens 80mm / Magnification 4 x 30mm / Binocular Camera
and Tele-Spot 110 on front ; made in Japan on back.
Mechanical shutter with speed of 1/125. No exposure control.
The camera look like a binocular/camera combination, but camera and
binoculars are not coupled.
There is a small viewfinder underneath the camera lens.
Binoculars focusing wheel and tripod socket on the bottom, the shutter
release button with cable release socket on the top.
The film advance button is on the left side of the camera.
This example has its original strap and case.

Small black plastic camera for 12 4x4cm pictures on 127 rollfilm.
Meniscus lens f11/50mm in simple shutter with B, 1/50 settings.
New in box.
Particularity of these cameras : the english text on the box seems to be
an approximative translation : "...standard film n°127 in 12
pictures which film will be bought in place of the word."
Probably means :"...standard film n°127 with 12 pictures which
film can be bought in any place of the world."

Bakelite box in smooth finish (exists also in crackle finish) for 6x6cm
pictures on 120 rollfilm. No name on camera.
Very special design for this camera : the diaph command, the filter
command and the shutter setting are situated curiously on the front of
the camera.
Achromat lens, simple shutter with T and I.
Particularity just to let you know it's a Swiss camera : Infinity symbol
is Matterhorn and near symbol shows portrait of William Tell.
This one is supplied with its original cardboard box and instructions
(Model of the camera is indicated in the instructions).
